How Footsteps By Faith approaches childcare
Our approach is built around relationships. The same educators care for your child every day. Our team includes 3 Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) and 2 educators working towards ECT qualifications, more than required for a 46-place service. We don't use agency casuals as a normal staffing solution. Decisions are made on site by Val and Dan, the family who owns the centre.

Our Nursery Room provides a gentle, nurturing space with up to 10 children each day. Through warm, responsive care and consistent routines, we support each child's sense of security, trust and belonging during these important early years.

Toddlers thrive in an environment that supports independence and exploration. Our Toddler Room welcomes up to 12 children each day, offering engaging experiences that develop language, movement and emerging social skills.

Our Junior Preschool Room welcomes up to 13 children each day, supporting them as they grow in confidence, independence and connection with others. Through play-based learning, creative exploration and guided group experiences, children strengthen their language, social and self-help skills while building the foundations for the Preschool years.

Our Preschool Room welcomes up to 17 children each day, supporting them to build confidence, independence and school readiness in a rich and engaging learning environment. Footsteps By Faith is a long day care service. We're licensed and regulated as long day care, not as a standalone preschool, and we care for children from 6 months to school age across the same building, with the same educators, every day.
Our older children (3 to 5 years) follow a preschool-aligned program based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF 2.0). It's the same educational foundation a dedicated preschool would use, delivered inside a long day care setting, which means longer hours, 52 weeks a year, and continuity from infancy through to school.
